My Kimerella Story...
June 01, 2004 at 5:20 P.M. I would very much like to present another story and I am happy to announce that it's a romantic story. Well it's an excerpt from my Kimerella story...kind of a variation of Cinderella. I really like Marty's version better which is an entry I added a few entries back titled "Disney's Kimerella". It's in the archive section. Here is an excerpt from the story I wrote back in February: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Maiden after maiden stepped up to meet the prince. He hesitated to meet them because he wanted no other girl but the one he saw in the market. As he bowed to the maidens that walked up, his father watched on from a chair in the balcony. "Look, he’s not even trying," the king said to the Grand Duke. "I assure you sire, the night is still young. It’s not like the maiden is going to arrive out of nowhere," the Grand Duke reminded him. Just as he said that, Kimerella’s coach pulled up to the castle steps and out stepped Kimerella, with help from the footman. She walked up the steps of the castle. She looked up at her surroundings. Everything was bigger than she could picture. As she walked on, she could hear the voices of people get louder and louder. At last, she stood at the top of the steps of the balcony. The king and the Grand Duke noticed her before the prince did. "Ha, what do you call that? It as if she has appeared out of nowhere," the king quipped. Kimerella confidently made her way down the steps. Just as the prince met her sister, he looked up. He walked right past her and up to the steps to greet Kimerella. When she made it to the bottom, she curtsied as he bowed. "My goodness, she is magnificent and quite a beauty," the king said. "Look how happy your son is," the Grand Duke said. "Would you do me the honor of dancing with me?" Prince Marty asked. "I would love to," Kimerella said as she smiled. As they glided across the dance floor, their eyes never left each other’s. Every song played that night they danced to. Kimerella’s mother and sister stood, looking on. "Who is she mother? He seems to know her," her sister said. "Yes, he seems to," their mother said. As they danced closer to that side of the ballroom, she tried to get a better look. "She does seem strangely familiar." As the ball went on, Kimerella and the prince snuck away to have some time alone. He looked at Kimerella most lovingly. Even though the prince thought she looked familiar, he didn’t realize he was finally with the girl from the market place. Kimerella vaguely recognized the young man that gave her the rose at the market. As they spoke, time seemed to fly by. Kimerella looked at him and said, "I’m sorry, you shouldn’t love me." "Why not?" the prince asked as he became confused. "Because I am not a princess," Kimerella confessed. "Men of such nobility should be with princesses." "You must be a princess. If you’re not a princess, then what are you?" he asked. "I’m a commoner, a servant." Just as she said that, the clock struck midnight. Kimerella broke free from the prince’s hands and ran out of the castle. He called out to her, but she just kept running. "Please, wait!" the prince called. "I don’t even know your name. How will I find you?" He couldn’t catch up to Kimerella, but he tried his best. Kimerella ran down the steps to her coach that was waiting. As she ran down the steps, one of her glass slippers slipped off her foot. She turned around to get it, but she saw that the prince was running after her and just left it. Kimerella hopped into her coach and it took off. The prince watched as the coach quickly left. He ordered the gates to be closed, hoping to stop the coach, but the coach had blazed through the gates, taking off so fast. As the clock tower rang its bells, the magic began to wear off. In a matter of minutes, Kimerella sat among her little friends, on the top of a pumpkin. Her dress was in tatters, just like it was before. She looked down at her feet and saw that she still wore a glass slipper. She took the shoe off and held it close to her heart. Prince Marty couldn't help but think of what he was told by the girl he met. "A commoner?" he asked himself. He thought very carefully about her and realized that it was the girl in the village. The next morning, he jumped up on his horse and rode to the village square, desperate to search for her. With the glass slipper in his saddlebag, he searched everywhere for her, but without luck. He began to ask people in the village about her and finally got a lead to where she lived. When he arrived at the cottage, he dismounted his horse and walked up to the door. After he knocked, he watched the door quickly open. There stood an older woman. "Prince Marty, it is an honor, come on in," she said. "Thank you. I will get to the point, I am looking for a girl that was at the royal ball last night." "Well, my daughter was there. Shall I have her come here?" "Yes please, it is much appreciated," Prince Marty said. The young prince watched as the woman called her daughter into the room. Prince Marty watched as the girl walked into the room. "No, I'm sorry; that's not her. Do you have anymore children or any other ladies in the house?" "Just my daughter and I and of course our servant Kimerella." "Kimerella? Could I please see her?" Marty inquired. "You're wasting your time, your highness. She was here last night, not at the ball." "Pardon me, but I do request to see her," Marty said politely. "Yes your highness," She said. "Kimerella, come in here." Marty's eyes lit up when the petite servant walked down the stairs. She looked down at him and smiled. She couldn’t believe the man she danced with stood in her home. She walked up to him and curtsied. He bowed to her. “I can’t believe I found you,” Prince Marty said. “I’ve been searching everywhere, because I wanted to tell you that I love you and I want you to be my princess; that’s if you’ll have me.” “Yes, I’ll be your princess,” Kimerella said as she hugged her prince. “I love you so much.” And they lived happily ever after. The End… ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I am more happy I wrote this. It's such a wonderful story. I hope you all liked it. Unfortunately, I can't finish my entry cause we were just issued a tornado warning. I'm sorry, I have to leave you for now... MARTY I LOVE YOU SO MUCH WITH ALL MY HEART... @->-- Princess Kimerella
